This week is the annual Inman Connect Conference in San Francisco. Typically I attend but this year I have too many commitments to make it, so I must satisfy myself watching from afar.
Lucky for me there are so many people attending Inman that are using Twitter Hashtags. By setting up a search in Twitter I can follow all the Inman tweets.
Saving a Twitter Search is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Here’s how to do it.
- Login to your Twitter account.
- In the “Search” box type the event’s hashtag.
- In this case that would be “ICSF”
- Click on the magnifying glass
- When Twitter completes the search you will see, “Real-time results for icsf!”
- If you wish to “SAVE” it you can click save.
How do you know what the HASHTAG is?
Hashtags are usually published by the event coordinator. Typically if you know of someone attending you can ask them what it is. You can also do a search for the event and find a tweet where someone is using it.
Hashtags are not “regulated.” Many people just use the # sign to express feelings or accentuate a point.
Most conferences, like Inman use the same hashtag each year.
About the Conference, here are some goodies!
Some of the presenters were kind enough to share their slide decks with us.
Here’s links to what I’ve found, enjoy!
